Special Collections and Archives

Service Disruption

Special Collections and Archives will be closed from 12 pm until 4pm on Monday, November 10 and Wednesday, November 12. Please contact us at archives@nullclemson.edu for virtual support during these times.

We are currently experiencing intermittent connection issues with our archival description platform. This means that it may not be possible for researchers to search our collections. Please contact us at archives@nullclemson.edu for assistance. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Welcome to Special Collections and Archives at Clemson University Libraries! We preserve and make accessible over 450 manuscript collections as well as the University Archives. Students, staff, faculty, and the public are invited to visit us to make use of collections that span areas including architecture, military history, agriculture and forestry, local history, University archives, and more.

We are open Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and Friday by appointment. If you’d like to reach us, please contact the Special Collections and Archives. As some of our collections are stored off-site, we strongly recommend that researchers make an appointment to visit us. This allows Special Collections and Archives staff to have the materials you wish to consult ready when you arrive.
