Work Space and Technology
The EMC currently has 25 socially distant seats available with no reservations required. Many EMC seats include whiteboard tables with electrical and USB outlets. Others include access to a desktop computer or Clear Touch displays which are highly recommended for socially distant group work. These displays can be used as needed for displaying and annotating digital content, online video and audio conferencing, and use of interactive whiteboard software.
Clear Touch boards can be used with the integrated Android operating system or by wireless or wired connection with any computer or mobile device. Many applications including Snowflake, SMART Notebook, and Promethean ActivInspire are installed on the Clear Touch boards and can be downloaded from the company websites for individual and field experience needs.
A mini refrigerator, microwave, and single-cup Keurig are also available for use in the EMC commons area.
The EMC meeting room reservations are available for up to 2 people with a limit of one reservation per day. It offers easy access power outlets, a HDMI connection to a large display monitor, and a whiteboard with dry erase markers.
EMC commons area reservations for up to 20 people are also available for College of Education classes, meetings, and events only.

Computer Gaming and VR
The computer gaming and VR area offers advanced desktop computers, large monitors, an Assetto Corsa Playseat driving simulator, a new flight simulator, and access to STEAM games an associated virtual reality equipment available at our service desk. Reservations are required for a maximum of 4 people at one time and a limit of one reservation per day. All virtual reality equipment must be returned to the service desk for cleaning after use.
Console Gaming and VR
The console gaming and VR room offers a large TV connected to PS4 with VR, XBox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U consoles with many games and controllers available at the service desk. Reservations are required with a maximum room capacity of 2 people and a limit of one reservation per day. All games, controllers, and virtual reality equipment must be returned to the service desk for cleaning after use.
Two MakerBot 3D printer stations are available for free use. Reservations are required with a limit of one reservation per day. 3D printing tools are available in the room, and design and project consultation is also available appointment.
Audio Production / Green Screen
The audio production / green screen room is currently under construction and is not available at this time. Adobe Digital Studio spaces, support, and project consultation are available at Cooper Library.
Meeting / Green Screen
The meeting / green screen room offers 3 socially distant seats with a large display monitor, HDMI, VGA and Apple AirPlay connections, and a portable green screen for video production. Reservations are required with a limit of one reservation per day. Photo and video production technology are available at the service desk and can be used outside of the DML Lab as needed.
Work Space and Technology
The DML Lab commons currently has 15 socially distant seats available with no reservations required. One seat offers VGA and HDMI connections to a large display monitor, which can also be viewed and used by others with Apple AirPlay.
Two Mac and one PC desktop computers with advanced editing software are also available in the commons. Video and photo editing support and project consultation is available by appointment and offered workshops.
DML Lab reservations for College of Education classes and events are limited due to COVID-19 safe occupancy recommendations and will be handled on a case by case basis by request.
