Clemson Libraries is engaging in a collection assessment, as we need to reduce our collections budget to align with budget targets for the 2025-26 fiscal year. This assessment will also ensure we are focusing our collections on subscriptions, books and other resources that will have the most impact and benefit for our patrons. Our team is closely examining all subscriptions and calculating cost-per-use of our resources to make data-driven decisions on what subscriptions we renew. Once resources with low usage are identified, we will work with library faculty who worked with the affected disciplines to determine if there is an accreditation requirement for the resource or if suitable alternatives are available. Our interlibrary loan team is also working to ensure there are other libraries we can borrow associated journals from if a decision is made to cancel a subscription.
