Spaces

Study Space

There are plenty of places in which to study quietly and collaboratively in the Gunnin Architecture Library. On the main floor, have a seat at the student-designed and built table overlooking the courtyard, in the mid-century modern Barcelona and Kandinsky chairs located at the entrance of the library or near the journal collection in the rear of the library, or at the round Eames study tables dotted throughout the main floor.

Individual study carrels are available on the lower level, along with individual or group seating at tables lining the courtyard glass wall. Barcelona chairs are also available on this floor. Rolling whiteboards are available for use.

Reservable Study/Meeting Spaces

The Gunnin Library provides two reservable rooms that serve as flexible spaces for group study, meetings or individual work when available. Students have first priority for use, though faculty and staff may also reserve them as needed. While these spaces are not designed as classrooms for regularly scheduled courses, instructors may book them when bringing a class into the library. In addition, the library uses these rooms to host instruction sessions, workshops and other special events.
