Position Description and Duties |
Position Summary: The Clemson University Libraries is hiring Graduate Student Hourly assistants to provide peer-to-peer support, help deliver student-facing programming, and offer real-time insight into how AI tools are being used in academic contexts. This role is ideal for graduate students passionate about education, responsible and ethical use of AI in academic settings, and technology who are eager to learn, teach, and engage with the campus community. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one or group consultations on the use of AI tools to find reliable information. Help develop and lead workshops on AI literacy and AI tools for students, faculty, and staff. Assist with content creation for social media, including being willing to appear on camera for promotional videos, tutorials, and engagement campaigns. Contribute to the creation of training materials, documentation, and resources for libraries users. Support events, outreach initiatives, and collaborative research projects. Stay up to date with new technologies and be willing to learn and adapt to new tools as needed. |

Additional Information |
Required Qualifications: Must be a currently enrolled graduate student at Clemson University. Working knowledge of generative AI tools like ChatGPT and CoPilot. Familiarity with literature review processes. Strong communication and presentation skills. Comfortable appearing on camera and engaging in public-facing roles. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching, tutoring, or facilitating workshops. Additional skills in embedded AI tools such as Web of Science AI Research Assistant or Libraries AI Research Assistant Previous experience in content creation, educational outreach, or social media engagement. |
