Must be available to work Sunday and Wednesday from 5-8 pm. Other shifts as available depending on class schedule

Position Description and Duties

The Gunnin Architecture Library is seeking the position of Student Library Assistant. The Student Library Assistant will be responsible for the general operation of the library during a designated shift. They will be responsible for opening and closing procedures, circulation duties, addressing patron inquiries, suggestions and complaints. They will maintain security of all the library’s resources, including but not limited to print and digital materials, equipment and library fixtures. Printing assistance, material location and answering general reference questions will be required. Promptness and a strong work ethic are mandatory for this position. Other Duties: Shelve, straighten and move books. Check library materials in and out, assist students with printing. Must be able to lift 40 lbs., report to work on time and as scheduled. Students must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
