
Dr. Tara Wood
Special Collections and Archives’ “Tigers in the Archive” podcast is kicking off its second season by flipping the script.
The newest episode features Dr. Tara Wood, host of the podcast, being interviewed about her role as instruction and outreach archivist. Sahara Scott, library resident with Clemson Libraries and editor of the podcast, interviews Wood about her journey to Clemson, her vision for archival instruction, and the challenges and joys of launching a podcast, as well as what’s in store for season two.
Wood has worked at Clemson for five years. In addition to her role in Special Collections and Archives, she is also a lecturer in the Department of History, teaching courses on England, witchcraft and heresy, medieval Europe, and women’s history. She has a Ph.D. in Modern English History and the History of the Book from Arizona State University, a Master of Library and Information Science with an emphasis in rare books and manuscripts from Indiana University Bloomington, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California Los Angeles.
Scott has worked as a library resident with Clemson Libraries since 2023. She works with the Teaching, Learning, and Research department as well as Special Collections and Archives. She earned her Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
