Tigers in the Archive podcast features artist Grainger McKoy

Grainger and Floride McKoy

Clemson alumnus and artist Grainger McKoy talks about his experience at Clemson and his family’s legacy in the second episode of the “Tigers in the Archive” podcast.

The episode features McKoy and his wife, Floride, along with their granddaughter, Hannah Griffith, who is a current Clemson student. The McKoys recently donated a photo of the Clemson College class of 1906, of which Floride’s grandfather, I.W. Bull, was a member. The photo hung in their family’s farm for generations but will now be conserved by Clemson’s Special Collections and Archives for future generations to see.

McKoy graduated from Clemson in 1969 with a degree in biology. He is best known for his realistic and detailed sculptures of birds, some of which are on display at Clemson’s Madren Conference Center. He and Floride met in the third grade. Griffith is a junior at Clemson majoring in computer information systems.

“Tigers in the Archive” is available on all major podcasting platforms, including Apple, Google and Spotify.
