Donors to Clemson Libraries can own a small piece of University history. For a limited time, all people who make donations of $150 or more to the Libraries can receive the gift of a post office box door from the University Post Office that was located in the University Union.
The Edgar A. Brown University Union, along with the last section of Johnstone Hall, was demolished in 2024. Special Collections and Archives was able to take many items from the buildings for preservation, including all of the post office boxes from the post office.
To receive a post office box door, make a gift online of $150 or more before September 30 and designate the gift to:
- Library Friends Fund
- Special Collections Acquisitions Fund
- University Historian’s Fund.
Donors who choose to support the Library Friends Fund will also automatically receive a one-year membership to Clemson Friends of the Libraries.
To request a specific box number, contact Nick Richbell, head of Special Collections and Archives, at nrichbe@nullclemson.edu. Boxes are given on a first-come, first-served basis.
