Data Visualization Lab hosts Love Data Week workshops

Clemson Libraries and the Data Visualization Lab will celebrate International Love Data Week from February 10-14 with two workshops promoting effective data analysis and the use of qualitative data.

On Tuesday, February 11, from 1:30-2:30 p.m., students, faculty and staff can attend “The Do’s and Don’ts of Data Visualization: How to Make Your Data Speak,” an interactive session that will provide tips and guidelines for creating accurate and meaningful visualizations of all forms of data. Anyone interested in working with qualitative data should plan to attend “Introduction to Qualitative Data Analysis – Qualitative Coding,” which will offer hands-on practice with collecting and analyzing qualitative data. This event will be held Thursday, February 13, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Click here to register.

Both sessions will be hosted by the Data Visualization Lab in Cooper Library room 413.

“Whether you’re a seasoned data professional, a student just beginning your journey, or someone curious about how data impacts the world around you, this week is a great opportunity to explore the importance of data and share your enthusiasm with others,” said Stacie Powell, data services librarian at Clemson Libraries.

The 2025 theme of International Love Data Week is “Whose Data Is It, Anyway?” with the goal of helping audiences consider the credibility of data sources while also promoting data literacy and responsibility.
