Clemson Libraries is hosting an open house to showcase its facilities, resources and services to faculty and staff ahead of the Fall semester on Thursday, August 8.
All University employees are welcome to drop by Cooper Library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to tour the building and learn about everything the Libraries has to offer. The tour will include visits to the Data Visualization Lab, the Clemson Center for Geospatial Technologies, the Adobe Studio and Makerspace, the Writing Lab, the Learning Commons and more, as well as light refreshments.
Faculty and staff are also welcome to stop by Special Collections and Archives (SCA) at the Strom Thurmond Institute during that same timeframe to learn about the work SCA does, as well as view some of Clemson’s most treasured historical items for the collections. The tour will include a short visit behind the scenes to the stacks of the University’s archives.
“Clemson Libraries have so much to offer not only to our students but to everyone affiliated with the University and the community. We want all faculty and staff to come and explore how we can better assist them in their careers and how we can help them help our student population,” said Lynn Dingle, Community Engagement Coordinator for Clemson Libraries.
