Clemson Libraries offers online access to The Economist

Clemson students, faculty and staff can now enjoy free access to The Economist through their University accounts courtesy of Clemson Libraries.

To access their subscription, users can simply log onto The Economist website using their Clemson email address and will be directed to a single sign-on page. After selecting Clemson as their university, patrons will be able to view all that The Economist offers, including articles, videos, podcasts, newsletters and more.

“Although Clemson Libraries has had the print edition of The Economist for decades, having the digital edition will allow students, faculty, and staff easier access to world class reporting on economics, business, politics, and international issues,” said Bobby Hollandsworth, librarian for economics and finance. “The Special Reports they produce every two weeks have been used by our students for years on assignments. Accessing these reports will now be so much easier.”

As an independent global news organization, The Economist exists to help readers “grasp the great drivers of change, from technology to geopolitics, finance and economics,” according to their mission statement.

Alongside The Economist, Clemson users also have access to The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and many other periodicals through the Clemson Libraries website.
