Banned Books Week 2022

Here at Clemson Libraries, we believe in the freedom to read. It is one of the most basic tenants of both librarianship and of higher education. That’s why we join the American Library Association in observing Banned Books Week September 18-24 to raise awareness about frequently challenged or banned books and the harm of censoring or removing books from libraries and schools.

Here are the top 10 most challenged books of 2021, according to the American Library Association, all of which are available to check out from the Libraries:
