Clemson Libraries is hosting a talk with two executives from Milliken on Monday, November 10, at 12:30 p.m. at the Watt Family Innovation Center auditorium. The event will also be streamed online via Zoom.
Titled “Good to Great to Elite: The Milliken Journey,” the talk will highlight Milliken’s 160-year history, how the company survived a dying U.S. textile industry, where they are today, markets they participate in and their world-class culture. Speakers at the event will be Mike Patrick, education markets sales leader for North America, and Heidi Burmeister, regional sales manager for Southeast Milliken Commercial Flooring Business.
“Milliken is a company with a long history that has made a tremendous impact on the Upstate for more than 100 years. Clemson also has a long history of education and research in the fields of textiles and materials science, so it seemed like a great fit to invite Milliken leaders to share their story with our students, faculty and staff. We are also working with the Watt Family Innovation Center to bring other industry leaders to campus, to share their stories and encourage collaboration with the University,” said Clemson Libraries Dean Chris Cox.
This event is free and open to the public. Register here to attend. Click here to join the event on Zoom.
