Stacie Powell is the Data Services Librarian and Director of the Data Visualization Lab (DVL) at Clemson Libraries. A Clemson alumna, she has experience in public, academic, and federal roles, including as a data management officer at the CIA.
At Clemson, she supports faculty, students, and staff with research data management and oversees the DVL, helping expand campus awareness and access to tools like Python, MATLAB, Excel, and Power BI.
Yaswanth Mulakala
Data Visualization Specialist & DVL Manager
M.S. in Computer Science, Clemson University
Yash Mulakala leads the Data Visualization Lab as the Data Visualization Specialist. He holds a Master’s in Computer Science from Clemson and a Bachelor’s from Gitam University.
He previously worked as a Data Manager at the Institute for Engaged Aging and held research and teaching roles at Clemson’s business school. He specializes in Python, SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, and GitHub. At the DVL, he supports consultations, leads workshops, mentors student assistants, and explores innovative visualization using AI and VR.

Syed Shahzad Abdul Wajid
M.S. in Computer Science
Shahzad is a Master’s student in Computer Science with experience as an AI/ML Research Intern at Clemson’s BioScience Lab. He is skilled in Python, Java, SQL, R, Power BI, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
His interests lie in developing AI-driven solutions that improve decision-making and efficiency in industry.
Ameya Unmesh Deshpande
Biomedical Data Science & Informatics
I am currently a graduate student in Biomedical Data Science & Informatics at Clemson University. I have a background in statistics and data science. My research interests are centered around applied machine learning, clinical NLP, and biomedical analytics, especially in the realms of healthcare and cancer research. I have been working on various research and analytics projects that combine data science, informatics, and real-world decision-making.
Aliraza Akshay Shinde
M.S. in Computer Science
Ali is a data analyst passionate about tackling complex challenges and uncovering actionable insights from data. He specializes in transforming raw datasets into meaningful stories, building efficient data pipelines, and creating clean, data-driven solutions to support decision-making.
His expertise spans enterprise analytics and AI-powered research tools, enabling him to contribute to innovative projects that bridge technology and real-world impact.
Abiola Majekodunmi
M.S. in Chemical Engineering
Abiola is a first-year Chemical Engineering graduate student with prior experience as a process engineer in petroleum, brewing, and paint industries.
Her technical skills include SQL, Power BI, R, and ASPEN HYSYS. She is passionate about using data analytics in industrial process design. Outside of academics, she enjoys sewing and watching movies.
