Shelby Carroll, assistant director of the George M. Manual Library at Carolina University, is joining Clemson Libraries as science librarian starting April 1.
Carroll is one of two librarians managing all operations of the library at Carolina University, with a focus on administration, collection development and information literacy instruction. She also serves as liaison for science departments. Prior to her role at Carolina University, she served as a graduate assistant in the Sciences Library at Indiana University and as a data and integration development intern at Do It Best Corp.
She earned a Master of Library and Information Science and a bachelor’s in human biology, both from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.
Carroll will serve as the liaison librarian to the College of Science providing instruction, research assistance and collection management for faculty, staff and students in that college.
