Science Librarian Shelby Carroll will help students master the art of the lab report with a series of Writing Lab Report Workshops. These sessions are hosted in collaboration with the Learning Commons in the Writing Lab, located on the third floor of Cooper Library.
This trio of workshops includes “Gathering Evidence for Your Lab Report,” “Writing Biology Lab Reports,” and “Writing Lab Reports 101 – Chemistry.” During the sessions, Carroll will assist students in getting a jump start on lab reports, providing them with insight on specific skills, such as how to locate and access peer-reviewed materials.
All sessions will be held in the Writing Lab in the Learning Commons on the third floor of Cooper Library. Session one, “Gathering Evidence for Your Lab Report” was held Aug. 29. Session two, “Writing Lab Reports 101 – Chemistry,” will take place on Tuesday, September 5, from 1-2 p.m. Session three, “Writing Lab Reports 101 – Biology,” will take place on Tuesday, September 5, from 6-7 p.m.
