Renovation work on the Cooper Library roof will begin on January 25 and will continue until July 31. A fenced staging area will be set up on the southeast corner of Cooper to store materials, trucks, and a stair tower for contractor access to the roof. The work schedule may include weekends and nights, depending on weather conditions such as rain or heat. Potential hazards include noise from drills and saws, smells from roofing materials, and trucks entering the site from the sidewalk on the southeast corner.
Cooper employees and patrons are asked to be aware of cones or barricades in place when the contractor is working around the outside perimeter of the roof for any debris that may fall.
