Meet a Librarian: Sally Smith

Subject areas: Nursing and public health sciences

What book are you currently reading? I’m reading so many different things! Currently on my bedside table is Telephone by Percival Everett, Meet Claudie by Brit Bennett, and The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O’Farrell (and so many more!)

What is your favorite spot in the library? My favorite spot is the popular reading section because I am a huge reader! Browsing and checking out books is very therapeutic for me and feels like a shopping spree (but I don’t spend any money!)

What’s the best thing about working for the Libraries? The students. I live for those moments where I can see students understand how amazing the library is and how I can help them with their research. Those ah-hah moments are the reasons I became a librarian.

What is one thing you wish students knew about the Libraries? I wish they knew more about the wonderful things the library has access to other than books and articles. We also have state park passes, phone chargers, cameras, and more!
