In October, Clemson Libraries offered an onboaring to give attendees a chance to familiarize themselves with Gale Digital Scholar Lab and ask questions about the interface and workflow. We are excited to now offer the Gale Digital Scholar Lab to all students and faculty.
This program is a cloud-based environment that allows researchers to explore Gale’s Primary Sources in a single research platform. Users can conduct textual analysis from historical documents from databases like Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO), Nineteenth Century Collections Online (NCCO), and British Library Newspapers.
Anyone on campus can use the tool. Students and faculty will have access to the unprecedented amounts of raw data as well as provide user-friendly interfaces for a number of analytical tools. The Lab allows for close reading of a huge amount of primary source material and is incredibly invaluable for anyone interested in a deeper dive into Clemson’s collections.
