Fire alarm testing in Cooper Library April 14

Johnson Controls will test the new fire alarm system in Cooper Library on Friday, April 14, at 3:30 p.m.

The new system has voice capabilities, a strobe light and a horn sound. During the test, a voice announcement will be made prior to the test, followed by the sounding of the alarm and the strobe lights. Technicians will conduct a walkthrough to observe that the system is working correctly throughout the building.

Patrons in the library at the time will not have to evacuate but should be aware that the testing will include loud noises and flashing lights.
