Exact schedule TBD with input from the successful candidate - we can work around your other commitments! Work will generally occur during business hours within Cooper Library. No night/weekend work required, but could possibly be arranged if desired. Start date would be ASAP.

Position Description and Duties

This position is only open to graduate students at this time. This staff member will be part of a small team in the new Digital Scholarship Lab in Cooper Library to provide support for students, faculty, and staff that need assistance working with research data. In addition to regular office hours, the successful candidate will also offer workshops (virtual and/or face-to-face) on relevant data visualization/analysis topics of their choosing. Applicants with skills in computer coding, GIS, Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, R, and other data visualization tools are highly encouraged.

Additional Information

The Digital Scholarship Lab is a brand new space on the 4th floor of Cooper Library. The DSL will be open to all students, faculty, and staff that are interested in any aspect of digital scholarship, which could include (but is not limited to): learning data visualization techniques and best practices, learning to use data analysis tools, learning to use text analysis tools, collaborative project space, workshops, presentations on research data, etc. This space is still under construction and we plan to open in Fall 2021. Join our team now and help build a collaborative and welcoming space for digital research in the Libraries!
