Position Description and Duties

In this position, you will use scanners and cameras to digitize documents, photographs, negatives, maps, and other materials for Clemson Libraries and external partner institutions. Your duties will consist of: • Handling physical items with care • Digitizing materials on a variety of equipment • Organizing and maintaining image files • Adhering to established imaging standards • Other duties as assigned We are seeking student workers who are comfortable with technology and interested in the digitization process. If you have education, work experience, or hobbies that involve photography, digital imaging and scanning, graphic design, art, or related disciplines, this job may be a good fit for you. To excel in this job, you should have the following skills and abilities: • Facility with visual details • Ability to accomplish repetitive tasks and produce high quality output • Ability to pay close attention to detail • Ability to follow written and oral instructions • Basic familiarity with Windows operating systems • Basic working knowledge of Photoshop or other image-editing programs is a plus

Additional Information

The Digitization Services Lab is located approximately 12 minutes from campus at the Library Depot (103 Clemson Research Blvd, Anderson, SC 29625).
